The Noisette Foundation supports education, sustainability, and civic responsibility through initiatives in environmental leadership, social justice/economic opportunity, arts and culture.

The Noisette Foundation's vision is to create a blueprint for healthy, restorative, and 21st century career pathways that heal the social fabric of the community and create a sustainable culture long-term. These pathways will focus on:
- restoring the relationship between humans and the natural environment;
- increasing quality economic opportunities;
- expanding local participation in community problem solving to address social justice issues;
- improving public education and human health services; and
- promoting an appreciation and celebration of arts and culture

The Noisette Foundation supports education, sustainability, and civic responsibility through initiatives in environmental leadership, social justice/economic opportunity, arts and culture. Founded in 2004, the purpose of the Noisette Foundation is to achieve long-term social, environmental, and economic equity in the neighborhoods surrounding the Navy Yard in North Charleston, SC. A tax-exempt, nonprofit organization funded through charitable donations and grants, as well as real estate transfer fees, our goals are to:
- inspire life-long education;
- empower residents to define and solve community problems, including under-education, chronic poverty, incarceration; and
- cultivate an awareness and celebration of local arts and culture

The Noisette Foundation believes in community restoration from the inside out. We believe in "assets based"
community development that builds on the community’s strengths. We help community leaders achieve their long
term goals. We research best practices and seek new resources for the community. We help the community
advocate solutions and celebrate our lives together.
