Krenston Price pumps up the crew outside of Mary Ford Elementary

On Saturday, September 8, 2007 members of the Lowcountry Civic Justice Corps and their mentors joined Noisette Foundation staff and volunteers to celebrate community service for "A Day of Caring". The crew gathered at Mary Ford Elementary to build two new picnic tables for the students to enjoy. LCJC members used the skills they have gained from Team Leader, Rev. George Jenkins and Site Assistant, Walter Anderson to measure, cut, and construct the picnic tables. While providing a service to our community, this project also allowed Corps members and their mentors to fellowship together and learn from each other. In the midst of all the hammering and drilling, the crew even found time for burgers and a few rounds of frisbee! Most importantly, Mary Ford students now have two new picnic tables for years to come. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year's Day of Caring a success!
